If you’ve been following us for a while you’ll know that at LJM Bookkeeping we just love automation! Anything which can help our lives and our clients' lives easier we well and truly embrace! 

This year we came across StreamDeck by Elgato. Originally designed for Broadcasters to organise their workflow better we decided to adapt it to use it in our bookkeeping practice. By programming a button to do a task it means that you can free up your time to concentrate on an area of your business that requires your attention. Using a StreamDeck in your everyday processes means that you can eradicate repetitive tasks simply by pushing a button! 

When we found out how amazing it was to use within our practice we thought we would share our findings with other finance users and we created a Facebook Group - StreamDeck for Finance Users. This group is great to pick up tips and advice on how to use the device to your advantage. 

Not a bookkeeper? Well there’s nothing stopping you from using it in your business either.  I’ve recently bought my VA a StreamDeck as an early Christmas present. I know how she’s always trying to find ways for managing her time more efficiently and thought it would be the perfect gift for her.
