I'm also a sports fan and there are a lot of crossovers. When scoring in cricket the bowling figures need to equal the batting figures, just like the credits need to equal the debits in bookkeeping. With golf, you take your handicap off your gross score to get the nett, your take the costs of your sales to get the profit.

When I relocated to Crowland from Hertfordshire back in 2010, I decided to make the most of being a 'numbers person'. Having done the bookkeeping for a small business in a previous role that I was employed in, I started my ICB qualification and set up LJM Bookkeeping in 2011.
