Why I'm a Xero Bookkeeper
Here at LJM Bookkeeping we are a Xero only practice. I often get asked why I only use one piece of accountancy software rather than giving options to my clients. There are many reasons I do this, but I feel that by specialising in one particular piece of software you can use it to its full potential. This gives our clients a better experience and increases their productivity as well as our own.
Here’s the reasons behind choosing Xero for our bookkeeping practice.
Knowledge and Experience
I’ve been using Xero for over 9 years. This means I know all of its capabilities. If you know me, you know that I’m tech savvy and love software and automation. Being knowledgeable and experienced with using Xero allows me to provide the best service possible to my clients.
Automation and Integrations
In my opinion Xero is the best bookkeeping software on the market when it comes to automation and integrations. Being able to connect it to various apps means I can create bespoke systems for each individual client as no business is ever the same!
Every business will have its own individual requirements and will use various pieces of software which others may not. Being able to integrate your existing software, or introduce more efficient software to replace your current software is critical to streamlining your bookkeeping process.
Grows with your business
Xero is capable of dealing with smaller businesses with minimum transactions to larger scale businesses with huge numbers of transactions. This means that as your business grows your accounting system grows with it, therefore you don’t have to switch software providers, keeping costs to a minimum too. We pride ourselves on building an accounting ecosystem which grows with your business.
MTD (Making Tax Digital)
Xero is MTD compliant. Whether you’re a business who has to comply or will have to in the future it means you are compliant with the rules of MTD. Cloud software ensures there is less room for human error, which was one of the main reasons MTD was introduced. This makes your financial data much more accurate so that you can make better business decisions.
Real time data
Xero uses cloud technology which means you can access your financial data from wherever you have an internet connection. You can set up multiple users so that we can collaborate together, both being able to access the same information at the same time. Having access to your finances in real time allows you to make important business decisions whilst on the go.

Xero gives exceptional services to bookkeepers and accountants which allows us to support you better.
