Software which we have trialled and reviewed in order to get ICB accreditation

Software which we have trialled and reviewed in order to get ICB accreditation

We have enjoyed being involved in ICB software accreditation for Apron, NextMinute and ApprovalMax. This has given us the chance to deep dive into the software to discover the features and how it can help me to improve processes for my clients.

It’s really important to highlight specific software which is available for other bookkeepers and it’s particularly significant for the software providers. Receiving ICB accreditation provides assurance that the software has been created to a high standard and specific specification. It also means that the software is fit for purpose and can provide a solution to a problem.

User confidence

Software which is accredited by the ICB means that bookkeepers can be confident that the software has been reviewed by someone similar to them. This offers assurance that it can be used in their everyday tasks in order to make their jobs much easier.

Compatibility

The various checks which we cover means that users can understand the capabilities of the software. We can highlight any other software which it can integrate with in order to improve processes.

A bit about the software we’ve accredited

Apron

Apron is the latest software which we have reviewed in order to receive ICB accreditation.

It’s a fairly new piece of software and only launched in March of this year. Apron is a payment platform registered with the FCA. They are linked with Mastercard in order to validate bank accounts and they have the ambition to be the first non bank to access beneficiary checks.

The company’s mission statement is to make business payments more efficient, joyful and resilient. They want to achieve this by using fewer apps.

ApprovalMax

I came across ApprovalMax whilst working for a TV crew. As a large business they required multi-level approvals for purchases and it was vital that the software connected to Xero.

It’s a workflow system for managing the whole accounts payable and receivable process and it was the perfect solution for my client. Following this I reviewed ApprovalMax for ICB accreditation.

The software was created to improve and automate processes for the collaboration of contractors and their bookkeepers and accountants. The software is cloud based and there is also an app for subcontractors who are on the go.

We’ve really enjoyed reviewing the various software in order for them to get ICB accreditation. I’m sure there will be plenty more to add to the library! If you are looking for new software then I would advise you to check ICB’s website for accreditation. If you need some support when choosing your next piece of software then please book in a power hour with me for that extra reassurance.
