Bookkeeping Software: The Best Options for Your Business

Bookkeeping Software: The Best Options for Your Business

Bookkeeping software is essential for businesses of all sizes. It can help you keep track of your expenses, invoices, and payments. There are many different options available for your bookkeeping software, but LJM Bookkeeping are certified Gold Partners' for Xero and here's why!

Xero

We've got experience with all different types of bookkeeping software but for us Xero stands out above the rest. The fact that it's cloud based means that we can get access to your accounts in real time. It also means that you can access your accounts from wherever you have an internet connection, so you can make important business decisions on the go.

Xero integrates with various technology in order for you to automate and streamline your business. We especially love the integration with Dext so that we can monitor your expenses and make sure everything is accounted for. Producing your invoices in Xero couldn't be more simple, you can add them manually as and when required, you can put them on repeat so that they generate automatically and you can batch upload via a spreadsheet. Chasing payment can be set up automatically via an email template which you can customise accordingly. No matter what industry you work in and who your clients are, Xero can work for you.

Let's look at Dext and how it can compliment your Xero software.

Dext

We've used many different apps for tracking expenses but Dext is so much more flexible and easier to use than the likes of HubDoc and AutoEntry for example. Hubdoc comes free as part of the Xero subscription but we find Dext works so much better and it's well worth investing in. You'll be pleased to know that if you choose LJM Bookkeeping as your bookkeeper you will only get the best service with market leading software.

By integrating Dext with Xero we can view your transactions, categorise them and check them before publishing them to Xero. Once they are published in Xero we can easily reconcile your accounts. No more having to chase you for missing receipts. Simply forward emails containing invoices in the body of the email or with a PDF attachment straight to your dedicated Dext mail box. Or better still, ask your suppliers to cc in your Dext inbox when sending you invoices. Great time saving tip! You can snap as you spend on the mobile app so that any paper receipts don't go missing.

Comma

Do you find paying invoices time consuming? If you receive lots of invoices Comma is the software for you! The integration with Xero means that all your bills are in one place and you can pay them in batches. Great for busy businesses!

Stripe & GoCardless

Setting up alternative payment methods can make it easier for your clients to pay, encouraging them to pay more quickly. The quicker your clients pay, the healthier your cash flow. It's important to mention that both these software providers will take a small fee for each transaction.

If you're overwhelmed with all the software available to you, and you just want to concentrate on running your business rather than the numbers, get in touch! We would love to help your thriving business.
